Demonstrative pronouns are pointers. They point out a specific person, place or thing.
There are four demonstrative pronouns

this, that these, those
Write each sentence and underline the demonstrative pronoun, circle the antecedent, draw an arrow from the pronoun to its antecedent. If there is no antecedent write "none" at the end of the sentence.
1. Those are the most colorful feathers among that species of birds.
2. Of all the Scholastic Book Fair books, these are the best.
3. This is the board game I hope to get for my birthday.
4. That seems to be the longest route to Grandma's house.
5. Before leaving for the university, my brother gave me his jersey and baseball bat. Those had always been his favorite.
6. This has been the rainiest day recorded for Ashland in 20 years.
